| On this day, Reuben's PT, Brian, and his OT, Kelsey, made a birthday cake and gave him a card that sang happy birthday until you blow out the "candles" and it cheers. Perfect for Reuben. The other little guy in the photo is Liam who also sees Brian and Kelsey (on Tuesdays they each have an hour with one and then swap for the other.) Liam, like Reuben, has a rare epilepsy syndrome, and comparable speech, physical, and developmental delays. Liam's syndrome isn't as rare as Reuben's, but it has a more sobering outlook. They're both pretty special boys, and I love watching both of them progressing during their time with their people at the therapy center! |  |
